Oh, What A Chocolate Craving! 
I had the hugest craving for chocolate the other day that just would not go away. I found myself grabbing food out of the pantry, the fridge and even the freezer. All the food choices I made avoided chocolate. I was eating nuts, apples, yogurt, etc. (all the healthy stuff!) What I found was that I didn't even feel hungry for or desire these foods.
So enough was enough, I went to Walmart specifically to get some chocolate. I decided on Betty Crocker's Mini Chocolate cake. I went home, put the kids to bed, mixed up the cake mix and popped it in the microwave. I then proceeded downstairs to my couch and with no TV, radio, music; no artificial noise of any kind on to distract me from enjoying the experience. Hence, I enjoyed every morsel of that mini cake. It was delicious!
I haven't had a chocolate craving since, and I no longer find myself raiding the pantry or fridge for food that I am not hungry for - nor eating excess calories just to avoid that 150 calorie treat. I satisfied my own craving, used all my senses to enjoy this treat and....YUM!
So the next time you have a craving, check in and see if it is a true hunger craving (not emotional) and then enjoy what your body is asking for! In the long run, you will consume A LOT FEWER calories by enjoying your cravings rather than avoiding them.
